What is a counter?

A counter generally increments an internal register each time a voltage pulse is detected at the counter input. This internal register is then read periodically to determine how many events have occurred. Typically used to measure frequency or RPM, accumulate pulses from a tipping bucket precipitation (rain) gauge, and similar counting applications.

What is the U6 counters range? I need to measure the following Inputs:

5Vp-p 100Hz, 3.3v 1MHz and 3.3v 32KHz

See the Digital I/O specs in Appendix-A of the U6 User's Guide.  Input low is < 0.8V.  Input high is >2.0V.  Max counter frequency is 8 MHz.
