That makes sense if you have the relay connected to VS/DAC0.  VS is about 5 volts, so if DAC0 is set to 5 volts there is not voltage difference and no current flows.  If DAC0 is set to 0 you have a voltage difference of 5 volts and current does flow to turn on the relay.

With the DACs, you would typically use the sourcing configuration (DAC/GND) rather than sinking, and I have now noted that above.
