FlowStone is a graphical programming language similar to LabView, but quite simple to use. Developed by DSP Robotics, it has ready-made modules for the U3, and many other devices such as Phidgets, credit card scanners, cameras, and Console controllers.

FlowStone LJU3 Example

This is an archived version of the LabJack Universal Driver(UD). If you would like the latest version, please get it from here.

This driver supports the U3, U6, and UE9. This install includes drivers, documentation, and the utility applications LJControlPanel and LJSelfUpgrade. August 12, 2009, 10.3 MB, Windows XP/Vista/7 32-bit.

The utility applications LJControlPanel and LJSelfUpgrade require the .NET framework available for free from Microsoft. The installer above will detect whether .NET framework V1.1 is installed, and if not will download and install it (~22 MB).

LabJackUDSetupV315.exe

This is a barebones installer for the LabJackUD driver that people who distribute software that uses a LabJack can use.  It currently installs the WinUSB hardware driver, the LabJackUD.dll software driver and will also have an option to support the LJUDDotNet.dll component. 

This is still in development.  Currently, you should uninstall all other LabJack installations before testing it (it will prompt if not).  

There are two versions.  The only difference between the two is that the silent version has no GUI at all, thus it will display no dialogs, but will return a value of zero on success and non-zero on error.  Both these .exes can be called from your own installer.

This is the latest beta version of the LabJackUD driver for 32-bit applications. This update often includes minor fixes that can be used between new installer versions.

To use, download the .zip file and extract the .dlls into the appropriate system directory. Usually C:\windows\system32 for 32-bit versions of Windows and C:\windows\SysWOW64 for 64-bit versions of Windows. This should replace DLLs already there.

LJControlPanel is a Windows application that handles the configuration and testing of a UD series DAQ device.  LJControlPanel is normally installed by the UD installer, but this web page always has the current version (which might be newer).

The unzipped executable is ready to run.  To overwrite the version installed by the UD software installer, copy the executable to the "C:\Program Files\LabJack\LJControlPanel" directory (default install location).

Version 2.27 Notes:

• Requires that LabJack UD Setup V3.25 was the last run UD installer.  It is OK if you have manually copied a newer UD DLL.

LJSelfUpgrade is a Windows application to program new firmware onto a UD series LabJack's processor.  LJSelfUpgrade is normally installed by the UD installer, but this web page always has the current version (which might be newer).

The unzipped executable is ready to run.  To overwrite the version installed by the UD software installer, copy the executable to the "C:\Program Files\LabJack\LJSelfUpgrade" directory (default install location).

This is the legacy software installation for the LabJack U12. The directory and file structure has been changed since V1.17, so LabJack U12 software V1.17 or lower should be uninstalled first. If you are not sure what version you currently have installed, run LJtest and see if it reports driver version 1.17 or lower. LabJackUD does not support the U12, so this U12 specific driver should still be used. This install includes drivers, documentation, LabVIEW examples only, and sample applications.

Supports Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Vista/7. This installer will work on 32-bit or 64-bit Windows. It contains the drivers for 32-bit applications run on either 32-bit or 64-bit Windows. If you are using 64-bit applications on 64-bit Windows, then after using the installer above you need to get the new 64-bit U12 drivers (unzip and copy to \windows\system32).

Also provided is an updated version (1.03) of the LJSHTmulti program that supports data logging.  This version is newer than the LJSHTmulti (version 1.01) installed with U12 Setup V 1.21.

Also provided for OEMs and developers is a zip archive with just the DLL and OCX files.

Also provided is V1.13 of LJlogger.  This just fixes screen alignment issues on Vista and Windows 7 and is only recommended for those operating systems.  Note that FTP/HTTP/Email features had to be removed from this version.  The attached archive is simply the exe file.  You must replace the current V1.12 exe with this new exe.

Installation program for a Windows application that performs temperature and humidity readings from a EI-1050 probe. Source code available in the LabJackPython archive which will work for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. July 22, 2009, 3.3 MB.

If you have a previous version of the Windows UD driver you will need to uninstall it before running this version. Also, if you had LabJacks connected to the system previously and have them connected while installing, you might need to reconnect them before they will work properly.

Note:  The UD driver must be uninstalled before this installer will run.  The 2 normal ways of doing that are:

• Do Start=>Programs=>LabJack=>Uninstall.
• Go to Windows Control Panel (not LJControlPanel), then go to Add/Remove Programs, then find "LabJack" or "LabJackUD".

If those normal uninstall methods are not available or don't work, here are the manual steps:

• Go to Start=>Programs, find the LabJack group, right-click on it, and delete from the start menu.
• On your hard drive delete the LabJack folder which is usually in c:\program files\.
• Find and delete delete labjackud.dll.  It would be in your system directory (e.g. C:\windows\system32).
